That’s some big shoes to fill, and we are all very curious to see how Kaplan & Springer will handle the task. While Kaplan & Springer don’t have much Hollywood experience, they are currently attached to Warner Bros. high profile project Disaster Wedding. So, while it’s still too early to know where Kaplan & Springer would lead Fantastic Four, we can already hope they will fare better than the previous cinematic versions of the superfamily. Based on the 2005 movie of the same name, Fantastic Four lets you control the team of superheroes known as the Fantastic 4.
When plans for a third film fell through, 20th Century Fox rebooted the series with 2015’s Fantastic Four. The film experienced a worse critical reception than the original films and failed at the box office, leading to the cancellation of a sequel planned for a 2017 release. Trank said that shortly before production began, the studio cut $30 million from the film’s budget.
